Eastern Mountains is the culture of the Eirkadi Mountains and the dwarven realm of Alheimia. It also has an enclave in the eastern Vericum mountain range.

Traditions

Beer is an important cultural element for Eastern Mountains dwarves. The art of brewing is considered one of the highest crafts and dwarves can get into fights regarding their favorite beers and why this one is better than that. The importance of beer and quality also leads to a curious moderation of drinking, with dwarves rather enjoying a few mugs over downing one after another. What good wines are among the nobility of many human realms is good beer among the Eastern Mountains dwarves - something to calmly enjoy, discuss with your friends, compare to each other and so on.

All Eastern Mountains dwarves agree that human-brewed beer tastes like piss, and when in a good mood will start a humorous discussion about which animal it was taken from.

Clothes

Eastern Mountains dwarves of both genders wear skirts as often as they wear trousers. With relatively short legs and for practicality, skirts are considered perfectly normal clothing for either gender. Due to the dust common in the mines, however, dwarves do wear undergarments under their skirts.

Unlike most human cultures, dwarves are not great with color on clothes. Minerals of various kinds would be available to dye fabric, but the dwarves do not consider it important unless it signals something. Leaders of various kinds, such as the leader of a mining group or in the military, often wear colored shirts or hats to be more visible for their men. Other dwarves pretty much take whatever color the fabric comes in, which means no color when made by dwarves, or any color when bought from humans. This leads to a wild mix in clothes, where most dwarven clothes are plain-colored and then there is a seemingly random combination of colors wherever the clothes or (more likely) the fabric was imported.
