Lergovia is a large village at the edge of the forest with a population of at least 500. It is surrounded by a palisade wall with two gates. The village has the infrastructure of a small town, with some specialized craftsmen such as a blacksmith, leatherworker, shoemaker, tailor, etc.
There is a fairly new church in the center of Lergovia, with a full-time priest, two aspirants and a maid.
There is a small tavern at the central square as well, and even an armoury if the village is attacked, with a dozen swords and two dozen spears as well as shields, bows and arrows inside.
The entertainers arrived in Lergovia in the evening.
If the party pressed on and lost no time, they will arrive at the main square during the show. continue at The Show. If they made a stop and arrive the next day, the entertainers will be practicing and preparing, as they intend to give two shows (Lergovia is large enough for that). Continue at The Next Day.
The entertainers seem to be halfway through the show, and the crowd is already excited, cheering them on. There is a juggling act followed by a fire-eater act that very much astonishes the villagers. After these two, a man and a woman come forth, her playing the flute and him relaying news of the world in rhyme. This is by far the weakest act, and makes it obvious why the two bards were welcome in Alesia, but for the villagers it is still worthwhile due to the fact that this is, essentially, the Dark Ages version of a newspaper.
After the news, the two men and three teenagers take to the stage in costumes, performing a short play of a local folk tale, which concludes the show.
During the show, a young boy and a young girl wander among the crowd with hats in their hands, asking for small coins for the show. Here and there, someone gives them one, and by the end of the show a small amount has collected.
If the characters look for it, they can also spot a girl fitting the description of Elaine sitting with whatever entertainers are not performing, and a successful mental (perception) roll reveals that she is barely ever taking her eyes off the oldest of the teenagers.

If the party arrives during the day, the entertainers will be busy practicing and preparing. It doesn't take long for the party to spot a girl matching the description of Elaine among them, always in the company of the oldest of the teenage boys.
If the party watches for some time, they will notice that Elaine also helps here and there in the camp of the entertainers.
From this point on, much depends on how the party approaches the problem. Elaine does not wish to return home (see 30 - Geralt & Elaine > Elaine), while most of the entertainers have no opinion on the matter.
From their point of view, when they left Alesia that morning, Geralt went told them he'd come in a few minutes as he wanted to say goodbye to a nice village girl, and knowing that they'd be slower with the carts then him, they went off, expecting him to catch up shortly after. It took longer than they thought until they finally spotted him coming, and he wasn't alone.
During the march, the story told by Geralt was that instead of wishing him farewell, the girl first begged him to stay and then decided to run away with him, and all his efforts to convince her otherwise failed. Not that he made too many efforts, as he quite liked the idea of having her by his side.
So from their perspective, the entertainers did nothing wrong. They simply offered hospitality to someone who wanted to tag alone in exchange for whatever help she can offer.
On the matter of Elaine herself, each entertainer has their own opinion:
| Name | Opinion |
|---|---|
| Silas | Likes the girl but isn't sure if she's right for the group and worried she'll cause trouble further on. |
| Samuel | Is neutral about Elaine, but would agree that she needs to follow her father's demands. |
| Rosemary | Not a fan of Elaine, but keeps her opinion largely to herself for the sake of her son. Thinks she's just a fling and he'll get over her soon. |
| Anna | Likes the girl and is the only adult actively encouraging her to take an active role in the group, such as assigning her tasks. In return, unfairly, Elaine likes her the least, as some of the tasks take her away from Geralt for a few moments. |

| Amelia | #TODO |
The youngest two don't have a particular opinion. They're mostly "yeah, she's nice" but too young to understand love or group dynamics.
