Enchantments

A character with the Magic Paths > Enchant knowledge can use the Downtime Activities > Enchant to created one-use magic items.

He does this by specifying the effect he wants to store and where he wants to store it, such as a magic scroll, a potion, a magic trap, etc.
Each enchantment must have a specified way to release its magic. Typical release triggers are reading a scroll, quaffing a potion, breaking a bottle (thrown weapon), etc. - but it can also be something like rubbing a specific gem on a crown, speaking a certain phrase while wielding an enchanted sword, etc.

Once released, or at the end of an adventure, the magic fades and the enchanted item becomes an ordinary item again.

Enchantments are simply stored spells. The enchanter makes a roll as for Casting Spells, and the resulting effect is stored in the enchanted item. Typically, enough time is available to make a ritual.
Enchanting works just like casting a spell does, including mana burnout and options to increase the effect.
