The Lighthouse of Cabra lies isolated just off the coast in the north of [[Biesen]], next to an inhospitable, often frozen, marshland.

It is built on a rock rising from the sea on a tongue of land that is at times submerged beneath the waves, cutting the lighthouse off from the mainland for hours and sometimes days. The position of the keeper is respected, but not desired, and thus he is often an old man who was stationed here for too many years and is only exchanged upon death.

== Trivia ==
The name of this place is a nod to Roger Zelazny's ''Amber'' cycle.
