The tiny city of [[Pontegio]] is famous for the hot springs that emerge from its ground. Six natural pools of hot water flowing out of the ground here create a center piece for the city. Two of the springs have been surrounded by walls and are now indoor, while three are in a garden next to the indoor springs. The sixth spring is about two hundred metres away from the rest, and has its own stone garden built around it.

The flow of water is just enough to compensate for the loss due to evaporation and the pools rarely overflow.
