Olythegapo is the capital of the small province of Phacantia and a large settlement for such a small province, housing more than half of its population. This unusual condition is caused by the city being located in the center of the most fertile area within the province, and unlike many other cities not being a condensed clump of buildings surrounded by a wall, but more of a wide open merger of multiple villages.

In fact, Olythegapo extends over an area that would fit a city with four or five times its population in other parts of the world. Unlike most cities, it contains fields and pastures both within and around its edges.
