Akemenania is an officially uninhabited island in the southern sea, a good distance away from the mainland coast of Sila. It is a miserable place that consists of treacherous cliffs in the north and west, and bogs and swamps in the east and south.

Unknown to most, there are two settlements on the island, pirate villages and ports. Those who prey on the trade routes along the coast to the north found a safe harbour on Akemenania, far enough away from the mainland - more than 70 kilometres to the nearest point near the mouth of the Lyskirk river - to not be bothered by patrols or warships, yet still within striking distance - just 4-5 hours on a fast ship.

While officially claimed by Sila, no official settlement efforts were ever made. The island is, in fact, missing entirely on many naval maps.
