The author of this book goes by the pen name Antoni Polaru and claims to be a priest though he never mentions his specific religion. He describes his travels and encounters with various cultures and places, some of them accurate and some of them clearly made-up. Most scholars believe that the book was actually written recently instead of the four centuries ago its own timeline claims.
