Kustet

From Dragon Eye Atlas

Kustet is lovely village in Akingea in Palan with a population of about 260.

With a population of about 260 people, the village is nestled comfortably in the midst of the forest. The surrounding trees offer a sense of seclusion and tranquility that is hard to find elsewhere.

Despite its relatively small size, Kustet is bustling with activity. The locals are friendly and welcoming, eager to share their way of life with visitors. The village's economy is centered around farming and forestry, with most of the villagers working the land and tending to livestock.

Kustet has a rich history that can be seen in its architecture and local customs. It was founded over 300 years ago by a group of refugees who were fleeing a small-scale war between local mage-lords. They sought refuge in the dense forest, where they could hide from their enemies and build a new life for themselves. For the following century, Kustet was a notorious hideout for bandits and outlaws. Today, despite some locals being descendents of these outlaws, Kustet has turned into an ordinary, civilized place.

Kustet is home to an ancient oak tree that is said to be over 500 years old. The villagers believe that the tree is sacred and that it possesses healing powers. They hold an annual festival to honor the tree and pray for its blessings.
