Toran is small farming village in Akingea in Palan with a population of about 350.

The fertile land surrounding the village is carefully tended to by the villagers, who grow a variety of crops including wheat, barley, and vegetables. The village center is dominated by the stone temple of Kimdar, which has stood for over 500 years, is surprisingly large for a village this size and serves as the heart of the community. Most of these are made for use by the villagers themselves, but some if traded towards Mekezisi, the nearest city.
