Thinvipia is a tiny exclave of Biesen, located at the north-eastern coast of Afarwaha. It is a poor and desperate place, cold and wet and miserable, with a small population of humans edging out a living alongside the elves. The area is heavily forested with temperate rainforest.
The elven realm could easily swallow up this small enclave, but has never attempted to do so. The reasons are unknown outside the higher circles of the elves, even most of the common elves in the realm sometimes wonder. Then again, there is nothing in Thinvipia worth taking.
What one could generously call an "economy" in the place is largely fishing, hunting and a bit of agriculture during the summer months. The climate is generally wet and unsuitable for grain, and as a consequence the typical diet here is a piece of fish, some vegetables and either mushrooms or fruits, depending on the season.
The people follow the Luari culture and have very little contact with the nearby elves, with both sides avoiding each other, so there are almost no elements of elven culture to be found. While the Faith of Nesra is dominant, the pantheon has unofficially been expanded to include the elven god Draga as the god of the seas.
