Deracussa is the smallest and weakest state of the United Provinces of Sila, located at its central northern edge. The vast majority of its population of 36000 are peasants, and the capital, Deracussa City, is a city only on paper after the devastating siege of 69 BV during which the city, at that time with a population of over ten thousand, was repeatedly sacked and razed. It has never recovered. The Tombs of Deracussa are what is left of the former glory.
While most states in Sila control minor provinces in addition to their core lands, Deracussa does not. In fact, it barely managed to remain an independent province long enough to survive into the Unification.
