Phacantia is a small province in the far south-east of Vericum, which used to be part of the Sila provinces, but decided to join the Empire instead of the coalition of states to its south, same as its neighbour Geleagas.

Almost half of the province is wetlands, especially the low coastal areas and the area around the Hoston and Clifrates river delta, one of the rare places of a river bifurcation on Auseka. The entire region is wet and rainy, with temperate rainforest where it isn't swamp or marshland.

Phacantia is a relatively isolated, backwater place with conservative values and close-knit communities. Its economy is largely based on fishing and hunting, with some agriculture in the fields around its villages. Peat is the major export and Geleagas the major trade destination as the province lacks deep water ports.
