Towns are local centers of economy and trade. Many towns in [[Auseka]] are not especially large, often around a thousand inhabitants. What most towns have that villages don't is a market. Peasants of nearby villages will come to the town to bring their goods to the market for sale, or to buy things they need and cannot make themselves. This simple fact makes towns appear much more busy as during the day there are not just the people living in the town, but also visitors from the surrounding villages inside. | |||
